Five Weirs Walk Trust, The

The trust is a registered charity that negotiates, constructs and promotes public access to the River Don in East Sheffield and encourages appropriate and responsible recreational uses. Offers guided walks during Environment Weeks and by arrangement. Holds winter lectures from January to March (see local press or Five Weirs Walk Trust website for details). Current objectives include completing the signage and interpretation of the walk and supporting the Sheffield River Stewardship Company which takes responsibility for the management and maintenance of the river and walk.
