Organisation Name ACE - ABOUT CARE EXPERIENCE YOUTH COUNCIL
Description Part of Chilypep (see separate entry). The Council is made up of looked after children aged 13 years and over and meets fortnightly. Facilitated by a youth worker providing training with a focus on confidence building, a drama programme and a peer research programme. Aims to enable participants to represent others and gather information from young people in care about how their experience of care can be improved. The Council's mission is to be democratic, have access to power, participate in service planning and delivery and to be proactive. Company limited by guarantee no 5317925.
