  Aardwolf Archers
Aardwolf Archers are a target archery club based in South East Sheffield. The club shoot compound, recurve and longbow at distances up to 100 yards.

Registered with Archery GB and comply with their rules of shooting, affiliated to Yorkshire Archery Association and Northern Counties Archery Society and associated with Mosborough Community Sports Group.

The club meets at Westfield School Sports Field, S20 (Monday & Friday, Saturday & Sunday) and Mosborough Miners Welfare Club, S20.



  Abbeydale Archery Club
Abbeydale Archery Club is predominantly a "target archery" club, holding numerous open tournaments/competitions every year. The club also holds various novelty shoots for club members only, details of which are on their website.

Sessions are held at De La Salle Sports Club, S8.



  Arrowflight Company of Archers
Arrowflight Company of Archers is a not-for-profit organisation that participates in archery competitions. A closed club, new members by selection.


  Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre
Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre is an outdoor activity centre. Activities include camping, archery, obstacle courses, walking, canoeing, kayaking, orienteering, climbing wall, team building etc. Facilities are available to registered youth groups, churches, schools and charities etc. Indoor facilities available. The facilities have a full risk assesment. Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Accreditation and Adventure Mark.

Sessions are held in S35 (Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday).

  Its My Life - Community Involvement
It’s My Life is a not for profit local company who work in an ethical way providing a range of service to older people, people with learning disabilities, people with physical impairments and/or sensory impairment. It’s My Life offer a range of Community Involvement activity sessions. The service also offers a Training, Development and Consultancy service as well as a Support Planning service (see separate entries).

Services Provided - Community Involvement / Activity Sessions

• ‘Have A Nice Day’ Day Opportunities / Services
‘Have A Nice Day’ offers a range of day activities (day services) with support provided. ‘Have A Nice Day’activities can provide Low, Medium, High and High+ support, with services tailored based on the amount of support each individual needs to take part in the activity. It's My Life use some of the best facilities in Sheffield including Concord Sports Centre, EISS, Hillsborough Leisure, iceSheffield, Ponds Forge, Valley Centertainment (Cinema, Golf, Soft Play and Ten Pin Bowling) and Burton Street Foundation, and believe that people have the right to live a full and inclusive life.

• ‘Clubs’
Clubs are made up of ‘members’ who want to enjoy an activity together.
It’s My Life have set up a number of ‘clubs’ based on people’s interests. The club activities include: Archery, Ice Curling, Snooker and Ten Pin Bowling. Please contact It’s My Life for more information.

• ‘Themed Cafes’
It’s My Life have set up a number of ‘cafés’ based on people’s interests. Cafés include: Art, Women Only, Men Only and a Social Café. Please contact for more information.

It's My Life can provide one to one or shared support to help people get the most from the activities if they would prefer this to employing their own Personal Assistant. Please contact for further details

Prices:

• ‘Have A Nice Day’ Low, Medium, High and High+ dependent on support needs and activity sessions chosen. Prices range between £35 (low) and £149.95 (high+).
• ‘Clubs’ are from £5 per session and each Club is priced individually.
• ‘Themed Cafes’ are from £5 per session
• One to One Supporters for activities are charged at a rate of £13.75 per hour

Qualifications & Quality Standards:

Josie Bolland and Jane Hobson are the Directors of It's My Life.
They have both worked in Sheffield for over 20 years supporting older people and people with a learning disability. Josie and Jane previously worked for the Joint Learning Disabilities Service and are NVQ qualified. All members of the It's My Life Team are NVQ qualified or working towards this qualification. Josie is a qualified Occupational Therapist and registered with the Health Professions Council.

All workers (paid and volunteers) are Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly CRB checked). All workers are paid above the 'Living Wage' standard. The service is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (Data Protection) and has Employer Liability / Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

  Rother Valley Country Park Watersports Centre
A 750 acre country park and outdoor activity centre providing activities on land and water for all ages and abilities. Activities include zorbing, canoeing, rowing, windsurfing, sailing and rafting. Other activities that can be booked through the Watersports Centre include archery, cycle hire, team building and corporate activities. Instruction by fully qualified staff licensed to instruct people aged 18 years and below in activities. British Canoe Union approved, affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and the British Rowing Association.

Holiday programmes are available with Watersports and Holiday HQ. Has a staffed play area. A miniature train operates on fine weather days on a seven and a quarter width track with a 800m route.

Sessions are held in S26 (Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday).



  Sheffield Wheelchair Sports Club
Sheffield Wheelchair Sports Club is a registered charity which provides sports facilities for children (aged over 8 years), young people and adults with physical disabilities. Sports include:
• archery
• bowls
• snooker and pool
• wheelchair basketball
• weightlifting
• table tennis
• wheelchair rugby
No support is provided during the sessions, participents must be independent.

There is an annual membership fee of £20 per year for adults and £10 per year fro Juniors under 16 years of age.

Meets at the Sports Hall, Northern General Hospital, S5 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

  SRSB Sheffield Blind Archery
SRSB Sheffield Blind Archery Group provides archery for visually impaired adults. Waiting list in operation.

Meets at the Spinal Injuries Centre Gymnasium, Northern General Hospital, S5 (Wednesday).



  YHA Edale Activity Centre
YHA Edale is an outdoor activity centre providing skills training courses at all levels. The centre provides activity packages for groups. British Canoe Union approved centre, Adventuremark and Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. AALA licensed.

Sessions are held in S33 (Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday).

  Yorkshire Archery Association
Yorkshire Archery Association is the county level association for archery clubs in Yorkshire, affiliated to the national governing body Archery GB and a member of the Northern Counties Archery Society. The association organises County Championship tournaments both indoors and outdoors.
