Quality Care & Support
What is the Recognised Provider List?
The Recognised Provider List (RPL) is set up, monitored and updated by Sheffield City Council. If you are an adult in Sheffield who is looking for packages of care and support, you can choose from the list of providers who follow a clear quality framework. The RPL aims to ensure that you receive good quality services from these providers.
In order to gain Recognised Provider status and the RPL quality mark, providers must meet a number of quality standards, including:
Adults who purchase care and support services using their own money, or through a Direct Payment, are free to choose providers who are not included on the Recognised Provider List.
If an organisation on Help Yourself is a Recognised Provider you will see the Recognised Provider quality mark logo in their entry.
What is the Money Management Protocol?
The Money Management logo will show you which organisations have been awarded the quality mark to help you manage your direct payments. For more information on the Money Management protocol please go to https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/rpl

What is the Framework Agreement?
When you see Framework Agreement logo next to an organisation on Help Yourself, it means that they hold a contract with Sheffield City Council for the provision of care and support services. This means that they have been through a competitive and rigorous tender process which will have ensured they are an organisation deemed fit to do direct business with the Council. They will have met all the required criteria, including professional insurance and indemnity requirements, business references and safeguarding procedures and will have agreed full terms of business with the council. The organisation will be subject to robust and regular quality assurance and contract monitoring by the Councils' own internal Contracts and Partnership Team.
This also means that if you are a Support Planner working with an individual you can ask the Council to purchase care and support directly from this organisation.
