  Broomhill Library Conversation Club
Broomhill Library Conversation Club is an informal conversation group for speakers of English as a Second Language to practice English language skills in a supportive environment and to discuss cultural differences.

The club is meant to be a meeting place for men, women and children whose first language is not English and who want to meet, socialise and practice their conversation skills centred around cultural discussions and comparisons. Broomhill Library provides a relaxed atmosphere and welcomes everybody free of charge.

Sessions are held at Broomhill Library, Taptonville Road, S10 (Wednesdays).



  Burngreave Library Conversation Group
An informal conversation group for speakers of English as a Second Language, to practice English language skills in a supportive environment alongside British Citizenship classes. Runs separate mens and womens sessions. The sessions are run by Refugee Education and Employment Programme (REEP).

Sessions held at Bungreave Library, Spital Hill, S4 (Monday & Wednesday).



  Friendly Conversation Club
The Friendly Conversation Club is a voluntary organisation which provides a meeting place for men and women in the Burngreave area, whose first language is not English, to meet, socialise and practice their English, centred around social activities and informal English classes

Sessions held at The Welcome Centre, Pitsmoor Road, S3 (Thursday).



  Lowedges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe Womens Conversation Club
Women's conversation club for refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants. Creche provided. Originally set up by the Northern Refugee Centre (see separate entry), but now run by the Terminus Initiative. There is a creche for the under 5s. Self or any referral.

Session held at Michael Church Hall, Low Edges Road, S8 (Tuesday).

  Sheffield Conversation Club
The Sheffield Conversation Club offers a chance for asylum seekers and refugees to meet volunteers from the city and practice their English. Offers informal English ESOL courses for beginner entry 1 level and entry 1-2 level (Friday club). Regular activities organised including trips out.

Club held at Victoria Hall, S1 (Wednesday) & Central United Reformed Church, S1 (Friday), also runs occasional courses at various venues.

  Womens Conversation Club
The Womens Conversation Club provides an opportunity for women to meet up, socialise, practise English, share skills and take part in activities. English speaking women are also welcome. Self or any referral.

Meets at St Matthews, Carver Street, S1 (Thursday).
